just to put the willies up people.a couple of ghost stories.
in the museum we are sure we have a ghost..we call him fritz -but im sure ivan would be a better name....theres the display at the end of the corridoor with the pows behind a barbed wire fence.there is also a big silver water jug..this jug moves around...on its own...theres only dave and myself with keys and i dont move it,or dave but the water can moves around......we also have a tv that was black white no sound as it was us -broken----we come in one morning and the tv blares out sound with a perfect colour picture...fritz fixes tvs...when alone in the museum .there are voices.bangs bumps ...its ok once you are used to it but its unnerving at the start..

second story-out on the site of 357 pow camp marquenenfeld-near the 30,000 soviet pow cemetary.wife was walking the dog as do 1000s of others on a nice sunday pm...
all at once it gets cold so wife starts walking back to car..dog yelps and legs it off down road to car....wife feels a hand on here shoulder,,,now shes a big girl and was about to turn round and batter the pervert......no one there..noone in sight...wife legs back to car...never been back there scince..

there are also lots of stories of spooky kids in blocks....exorcisms by padres ect...with so many people dying in fallingbostel in the past ....yes i beleive in ghosts hanging around.....

I was stationed at St' Barbaras barracks with 20Hvy workshops REME from 1968-1970,and remember strange things and sightings of what looked like a person and strange lights in the block I was living in. The workshop had the top floor of one of the blocks,I think we were 2 blocks bown from the NAAFI, and we had a workshop "club" in the attic.I was on bar duty one winter evening about 17.30 having just come back from the cookhouse,all alone with the big metal firedoor shut from myside with a padlock pushed throught the hasp and staple,I was behind the bar putting glasses up on the shelves above the bar after putting up a few I noticed someone standidng near the bar,I glanced up and said "sorry mate were not open yet" then put up a couple of more glasses then went to see if the door was open,no it wasnt,and it was the only way into the bar! mmm very strange,the sight i caught of the person looked as if he had a grey uniform on,but I didn't see his face just his torso because I only had the lights on behind the bar and the room had no windows. Other times we used to hear noises in the bar,I slept in a room below the bar and you could hear noises late at night when bar was shut and locked.we also went down to the cellars for coal for the stoves in our rooms,and when i was down there I got a strange feeling I was being watched,there was also strange little beads of light seen in coal cellar,other people had heared things too. I wish iI knew which block I was in so you could have a look and maybe post some pics?

i moved into a flat in heidmark strasse, which is supposedley very haunted. so much so in fact that the last occupants refused to live here and moved out a month before we were moved in. apparentley (i spoke with the lady who had things happen to her) the 'ghost' was quite violent, and physical contact was made. i didnt know any of this before i moved in and it was only after having lived there for about a month i noticed the key fob thing we got off the estate warden with our door key on had written on it: 'The ghost flat'!! i was not impressed! i did'nt think anything of it until the living room door started slamming in the middle of the night and i got a medium in from the local area, she said it is a male spirit from the time of WW2. nothing ese worth writing has happened since, and i hope it never does!

our ghost,,although putting the wind up me has done us no harm..
its not the dead we should fear -but the living,,
and he seems to like guarding our museum.

maybe there is something of his in there......?
